Thirteenth JSO Officer Arrested In 2024 After Armed Kidnapping
A Jacksonville Sheriff’s Officer, Brian Housend, has been arrested on charges of armed kidnapping, aggravated stalking, and making death threats. The officer reportedly terrorized a victim over several months, threatening her life if she refused to let him back into her life. Disturbingly, he allegedly entered the victim’s home in full uniform and attempted to intimidate her with a firearm. Housend has been suspended from duty, and JSO is moving to terminate his employment amid these serious accusations of misconduct. Housend was originally hired by JSO in 2005 and since that date, Waters said, he left JSO to work for other agencies, and then he was rehired on two separate occasions.
