Kidnap Plan Fails as Victim Escapes Texas Couple
A Texas couple, Omar Bishtawi and Hana Alolaimi, has been charged with aggravated kidnapping and assault after attempting to kidnap and kill a man Alolaimi had been having an affair with. The affair reportedly ended when the man’s wife found out, but Alolaimi refused to move on. The couple devised a plan to abduct the man, who worked as a Doordash driver, at a Chick-fil-A parking lot.

On the day of the crime, the victim met Alolaimi, thinking she wanted to talk. Once inside the car, Bishtawi emerged from hiding in the backseat, put the victim in a chokehold, and pointed a gun at his head. The victim attempted to escape, but Bishtawi shot him twice, once in the thigh and once in the foot. Fortunately, the victim survived the attack.

Authorities arrested the couple and set high bonds for both. The case has drawn attention due to the serious nature of the kidnapping and assault charges, as well as the involvement of infidelity, which played a central role in the motive for the crime.
